All Police, Firefighters, EMS and military personnel who serve, or have served our community were invited to attend a FREE, dinner in your honor on
Saturday, May 13th. Doors open at 6 PM, Dinner begins at 6:30 PM
Dinner is prepared by a chef from the Inne of the Abingtons. It is a formal dinner including: salad, dinner roll, Fish or Chicken entrée, dessert. There are also free gifts from our church, and other businesses in the community for those who attend, as a small token of our thanks for serving us.
Guest speaker, Chaplain (Colonel-Retired) James E. May will share a message of encouragement after the meal.
Chaplain May served in the US Marines from 1968-1975. After this, he was ordained, and received his commission as a chaplain in the Army Reserves in 1981, and returned to active duty in 1982.
His military assignments include duty at Fort Stewart, Georgia, Tobyhanna Army Depot, PA, Camp Essayons, Korea, Instructor at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, Grafenwoehr, Germany, Garrison Chaplain, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, senior Army Chaplain, Arlington National Cemetery, Command Chaplain, Military District of Washington, and European Region Chaplain, Heidelberg, Germany. He retired from active duty on October 31, 2008 after 35 years of military service.
